 Voluntary Experience:

  •   Researcher - United Nations 'Young People We Care' : researched for Young People We Care (YPWC) in US and UK media to understand how the economic crisis that began in 2007/08 and the austerity measures going on in a country like the UK at the moment is potentially affecting migrants and their families. Enhanced YPWC's knowledge about this topic.

  •  Science festival volunteer - Cambridge Festival of Ideas: provided customer service for visitors, guided festival visitors to the right venues/lecture rooms.

  •   Trainee journalist - BBC Sussex: contributed to the project "BBC Coming to Sussex" by interviewing Chinese immigrants on how they immigrated to Sussex. I collected their life stories, and then translated, wrote up the stories to publishing standard. This project has also been exhibited in Brighton and Hove town hall in celebration of Chinese New Year. http://comingtosussex.org/
